Bangladesh and 34 other states abstained from voting during the discussion of the UN resolution directed against the special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The representative of the country said that he supports peace, but the UN document “simply points to the culprit and does nothing to resolve the crisis in Ukraine.”
After that, the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Shimonte, announced the cancellation of the agreement on the supply of over 440,000 coronavirus vaccines to Bangladesh.
