A triple-vaccinated 31-year-old Olympic athlete stops competing after myocarditis

Swiss Olympic athlete Fabienne Schlumpf, vaccinated with a triple vaccine, has been diagnosed with myocarditis and may never compete again.
The 31-year-old Swiss runner announced on her Instagram account that she developed myocarditis. She is currently not allowed to participate in any sports or training.
“Bad news! Unfortunately, myocarditis is holding me back right now. This is definitely a difficult time for me, but I won’t give up. I hope to be back soon, chasing my dreams … and competitors.”
A local newspaper confirmed that Schlumpf had been vaccinated and given a booster and had never been infected with Covid before.
She wanted to go to the training camp in Portugal at the beginning of the year, but nothing came of it. “No one can tell how long I have to go on hiatus,” she said.
