Ted Cruz says Republicans will vote to impeach Biden over his “refusal to enforce border and violate immigration laws” if they return the House in 2022.
Republican MPs will be under “tremendous pressure” to revoke the impeachment of Joe Biden if they reclaim the House of Representatives in this year’s midterm elections, Texas Senator Ted Cruz said in the latest episode of his podcast.
The Republican accused Democrats of “weapons” of impeachment against twice-impeached former President Donald Trump.
When asked if his fellow Housemates would respond in kind, Cruz replied, “I really think this has a chance. Justified or not, the Democrats used impeachment as a weapon. Trump because they disagreed with him, “Cruz said.
He said there was “multiple grounds” for impeachment of Biden, highlighting the crisis at the southern border and record numbers of migrants crossing the country into the US, putting a strain on US immigration infrastructure. Hunter Biden and his obscure foreign business relationship may also be grounds for impeachment.
GOP leader Kevin McCarthy has already set to work, preparing for multiple investigations into the Biden administration if his party regains a majority after the November elections.
