Queue and collisions for free tests in New York

Looking at the hands that these people hold out in the beginning, you think of free food or some Christmas presents for hungry people. But nowadays, healthy people line up and fight to prove they are healthy.

New York City police were forced to step in and restore order after a crowd of people stormed a city-sponsored truck in Brooklyn – health officials were handing out free Covid-19 testing kits amid concerns over the Omicron option.

A larger than expected crowd gathered around the bus, holding out their hands in hopes of getting a test kit, but the situation quickly spiraled out of control.

The workers only had 2,000 quick test kits, so naturally the crowd started screaming and moving forward as the number of free gifts began to dwindle.
