ITV News received a video of Boris Johnson’s then spokesman Allegra Stratton laughing at a Christmas party they threw during quarantine last winter
The Prime Minister and senior officials deny there was a “drunken” Christmas party in Downing Street on December 18, 2020.
According to British media reports, the party was attended by 40-50 people while London was under Tier 3 lockdown.
Downing Street senior staff joked about having the 10th party just four days after the event allegedly took place last December, the footage showed.
Staff can be heard laughing and referring to “cheese and wine” and Stratton noted that “there was definitely no social distancing.”
The recording is a rehearsal on December 22 for the proposed daily television media briefings on Downing Street, which Ms Stratton had planned to do before they were later discontinued.
