Readers of the American magazine Time chose the President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro as the person of the year

Earlier, an investigation was sanctioned against him due to allegations of the connection of vaccination against coronavirus with the risk of developing AIDS. In addition, Bolsonaro has publicly spoken out against wearing masks and other restrictions, calling Covid-19 a common flu.

“Out of more than 9 million votes cast by readers for who, in their opinion, is the person or group that had the greatest influence this year, unfortunately or fortunately, Bolsonaro received 24% of the votes,” the magazine noted.

Donald Trump came in second with 9% of the vote. Another 6.3% of readers gave third place to doctors who are fighting the coronavirus.

The newspaper said that the person of the year, according to the editorial board, will be announced on December 13th.
