Builders’ protests in Australia appear to have paid off

The Victorian government reopens construction sites. Regardless of the vaccination status of the workers.

Last week, thousands of people, most of them construction workers, took to the streets of Melbourne to demonstrate, including in front of the builders’ union building.
Without the Covid vaccination, they would not have been allowed back to construction sites to make money, as per the Victoria Federal Territory ordinance.
The protests, which were met with massive police violence, seem to have forced the government to change its mind.
