Scandinavia alarmed by abnormal vaginal bleeding after vaccination

This year there have been many reports of abnormal vaginal bleeding after injections of the Covid vaccine – in both young girls and postmenopausal women.

Sweden has also reportedly reported 300 to 400 official reports of such bleeding and menstrual irregularities, while in Denmark the corresponding figure is over 1000, according to

Ebba Hallberg, a senior expert at the Swedish Medicines Agency, told that the reports relate to irregular menstruation and bleeding after menopause.

“We are talking about menstrual irregularities in connection with the Covid-19 vaccination.” she said.

Of course, Hallberg stresses that there is no clear link between menstrual irregularities and the covid vaccine, but she assures that this is being tracked at EU level.

“This is what we are tracking, but at this stage we cannot say if this is due to vaccines or not,” she said.

In Denmark, the state-controlled TV channel TV2 reports that the Danish Medicines Agency has received over a thousand reports of such abnormal bleeding.

In Denmark, bleeding has been reported to affect both fertile and postmenopausal women.

Annnemett Windfang Likkebo, chairman of the Danish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, says the reports provide a reason to investigate the exact link to vaccines.

“We cannot deny that the vaccine is causing irregularities,” she said.
